COMMON ANSWER for above SEVEN QUESTIONS:

(FOR WHO CANNOT LEARN ANSWERS SEPERATELY)

                  MORE SIMPLE ANSWER

 I. “Segregate waste – keep wet and dry separate.”

II. “Say no to plastic, carry a cloth bag.”

III. “Compost waste, don’t burn it.”

IV. “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – clean Earth, healthy life.”

V. “Reuse and recycle to save resources.”

VI. “Dispose e-waste and plastics responsibly.”

        8)      Which is the better method in waste disposal – ‘burning’ or ‘composting’? Justify.

              •     Composting is better because it converts waste into useful manure.

Burning releases harmful smoke and increases air pollution.

Composting improves soil fertility and supports plant growth.

Composting is safe, eco-friendly, and cost-effective.

Burning wastes natural resources and harms human health.

For 2nd important question from our environment for 4 marks

    1)     What are trophic levels ? Give an example of food chain and state different trophic levels in it ?

• Trophic levels are steps in a food chain.

• Each level represents energy transfer.

• Example food chain: Grass → Deer → Lion.

• Grass – Producer.

• Deer – Primary consumer.

• Lion – Secondary consumer.

    2)     Why is damage to the ozone layer a cause for concern? What steps have to be taken to minimize this damage ?

• Ozone layer protects from harmful UV rays.

• Damage causes skin cancer and eye problems.

• Avoid CFCs and harmful chemicals.

• Use eco-friendly products.

• Create awareness and plant trees.

3)     What happens if predators are removed from an ecosystem? How it influences the organisms in the other trophic levels?

I. The population of prey (herbivores) increases rapidly.

II. Overgrazing or overfeeding by herbivores reduces plant (producer) numbers.

III. Lack of balance causes food shortage for herbivores later.

IV. The entire food chain becomes unstable, affecting all trophic levels.
